In Spring of 2017, I began painting with acrylics and my mother's 50-year-old brushes on canvas for the first time. When I stand in front of a blank canvas, I listen.  I don't know where this moment will take me.  Nor do I know what colors to use. Each canvas is different, but the colors are the same: cadmium red medium, yellow medium, and cobalt blue.
